Don't hit delete!!
Growing up surrounded by hoarders I swore this addiction would never take hold of me!I consider my grandfather to be on of Australia's biggest hoarders! he found pleasure in discovering hidden treasures and would often delight in showing us kids his 'finds' of the day!
This obsession was passed on to my father, who I consider one of Australia's biggest collectors of ANY and EVERYTHING! Yes lets see stamps, coins, coke cans, beer cans, biscuit tins, Avon bottles shall I go on? I think you've got the picture. Dad loves his collection and takes pride in showing visitors what's new and interesting. BUT he does have a tendency to hoard, yes he not only collects things once he collects multiples!!!
Where are you going with this you may ask? Well I told myself 'nope' thats not going to be me!
I did away with my 'Nick Nacks' about 10 years ago and it's great, not as much dust to collect!!
BUT I hoard photos!! Yes not only my own photos but now yours!! I just can't delete them!! They say women have an emotional attachment to their work and I have to say thats right. I so want to be able to just show my clients the best shots, the ones with the best composition, exposure and leading lines but I can't I have to show them all photos, I just can't delete them!!
We've exceeded 100,000 now and multiple hard drives later I still can't let go.........
Are you obsessed like me? I best not tell you about my prop collection....... well lets just say thats another story......
